"Smile today, because you may not be able to tomorrow.”
- J. Ralphael Hernandez
About MeI've lived in Santa Ana my entire life. I have five siblings, three brothers and two sisters. I go to Mendez Intermediate. I want to work for Blizzard Entertainment as a programmer. I am very fond of school and I plan to attend USC or MIT for a EECS(Electrical Engineering and Computer Science) degree. My favorite programming languages at the moment are C# and Python. My favorite story is Flowers for Algernon. In my free time I like to make mini games using Scratch and Android App Inventor, I like to learn programming with C# and Python, or write short stories. I recommend Scratch and Android App Inventor for anyone who wants to just make something because they can both be used for more than just games(Scratch is more limited though).
Life is like a story, it's the bad moments that make it interesting. - Ernesto Cisneros |
Personal Goals...
We all have our own personal goals that we set. We feel a sense of pride when we surmount a goal. These are my goals for 2016-2017.
Reflection of Goals:
So far, I haven't followed most of my goals. I want to continue focusing on exercising and Spanish. However I have been more creative in my work, I believe personally, and I have been teaching myself Python. I have learned how lazy I can be at times and how much stuff I have on my plate when I am not lazy(which is a lot). Aside from python, I want to start learning C#, Java, and the fundamentals of 3D Modeling(using Blender).
PLG Check-in and MAP data Report
Starting with my PLG, I have become more social in groups and with people in general. I've sort of stopped my learning of Python, but I've started learning C# and using the Unity game engine, but I've not kept up with my exercising. I've not changed my viewpoints of these goals and I will continue to work at them. I have a plan to help me start exercising, and that is to just go outside and jump-rope and do simple exercises(such as bicycles, push ups, and curl ups) to get me started. In terms of my MAP scores, I improved by 6 points and passed my goal by 4 points. I was happy that I've improved at all. I'm going to try to really read and study vocab this semester so I can end with a good MAP score. I'm worried about my Vocab use score, so I want to study more vocab. I'm happy about showing strength in Informal Text. I just hope that I can get a good score on both my ELA and Math MAP tests.
